I know I just made an encouraging Tumblr Blaze post to people, that is intended for an all-ages audience. (And please know, yes I’m reading y'all’s tags, and thank you for the sweet things you say, and I’m so happy that my How to Survive the End of the World post hit your dashes when you needed it, I hope it’s been a balm against whatever you’re weathering)
However. My blog (and a lot of my art) is 18+. I’m a sex educator, erotic artist and erotica writer, please be aware if you scroll through my posts, those things will come up.
As such, minors, please don’t follow me! While being interested in sex-related subjects is nothing to be ashamed of and is common at all ages, interacting with adults who are creating sexual content online is dangerous for you and for us.
Also, if you are looking for access to sex ed resources (I’m writing out the websites, but they are not linked here):
Scarlateen.com is a comprehensive sex-ed site for teens and early adults, I find it very easy and not scary to read stuff on there, and appreciate that the site is LGBTQ inclusive (though the site can be kinda tricky to navigate)
amaze.org offers sex-ed information for tweens and younger teens (aimed at folks 10-14) and breaks things down in the form of animated videos that are really cutely animated
loveisrespect.org isn’t necessarily focused on sex-ed, but more focused on relationship education and helping teens figure out how to have healthy boundaries and navigate their relationships
I became a sex educator in part because I didn’t have access to sex ed and so ended up learning from less than reliable sources. Having to struggle and feel scared in those ways made me passionate about making sure more knowledge gets into the hands of more people. If you’re someone who hasn’t had access to sex-ed yourself, I hope these resources are helpful.

HPV is linked to cancer wherever it's found. We associate it with cervical cancer, but it's linked to uterine, ovarian, throat, tongue, mouth, penile, testicular, AND anal cancers.
The vaccine has never been linked to increased sex in teenagers or unsafe sex practices.

It makes me so angry that the conservative Christians who claim this encourages sex have tried so hard to prevent it from being available. We have a vaccine that prevents a form of CANCER and you don't want to protect kids from that?
Because even if you've never had a sex partner apart from your spouse, who you are married to, and do all the things these people say everyone should do with Waiting For Marriage and so forth, you can still get an STI, if the person you are married to has had another partner. Or if they cheat on you. Or if you're sexually assaulted.
So for as much as they harp on Sexual Temptation and so forth, you'd fucking think they'd acknowledge that yeah sometimes bad things happen to people for reasons that are outside of their control.
Except really they just hate people and think bad things that happen to you must be your fault, because God didn't like you anyway.
Anyway, yes, get the HPV vaccine.

Like, it's not just if you're on Vyvanse, there's a knock-on effect of people being moved to other medications and causing more shortages, even of non-stimulant meds, and ADHD clinics (which already had massive waiting lists) are having to spend time moving people onto other meds or monitoring people as they come off and on their meds with availability

I’m really glad that Aaron’s self-immolation for Palestine is getting attention, but on November 8th there was also a Congolese man who did the same thing for the genocide happening in the DRC. From what I read in the article above, his fate and identity are unknown but I think his story should be getting equal amount of traction and I haven’t really seen anyone talking about it on Tumblr specifically yet.
